A different framework

Most skincare focuses on the surface — exfoliation, brightening, instant results through stimulation.

Nordic Lipid Therapy works the other way: with the skin's own structure, supplying the lipids it needs to maintain barrier function over time.

Aurora Veil — whipped tallow moisturizer by Libra Luxe

Three principles behind every formula

Lipid identity

The lipids your skin already produces and recognises. Tallow shares roughly half of skin’s own lipid profile — recognised, incorporated, used.

Barrier first

Restoration, not stimulation. Nourish the structural layer that holds moisture in and irritants out, instead of forcing turnover.

Less, but precise

Four products. Each one chosen to support the next. No acids that strip, no synthetics that mimic. The formula is short on purpose.

Why the barrier matters

The skin barrier is the structural layer that holds moisture in and keeps irritants out. When it functions well, the skin feels calm, hydrated, and resilient. When it weakens, everything else falters — even ingredients that should help can become aggravating.

Skin-identical lipids are fats your skin already produces and recognises. Supplying them — rather than stripping them — supports the barrier without overriding the skin's own chemistry.

"At Libra Luxe, that lipid comes from one source: 100% Norwegian grass-fed tallow."

The principle is simple. The practice is precise. See it in the four-step Libra Luxe ritual.

Common questions

What is Nordic Lipid Therapy?
A skincare framework built on supplying the skin with lipids it already recognises and uses — primarily Norwegian grass-fed tallow — to support barrier function and long-term resilience.
How is it different from traditional skincare?
Most skincare targets the surface through stimulation: acids, retinoids, brightening agents. Nordic Lipid Therapy works with the skin's structure, replenishing the fats it needs to maintain its barrier.
Why tallow?
Grass-fed beef tallow shares roughly 50–55% of the skin's own lipid profile. That structural match means the skin recognises and incorporates it, rather than treating it as foreign.
Will it cause breakouts?
Tallow is non-comedogenic for most skin types because it matches the skin's natural composition. However, every skin is different — we recommend patch-testing with Aurora Melt as the gentlest introduction.
How long until I see results?
Barrier work is structural, not cosmetic. Most people feel a difference in skin calmness and hydration within 2–4 weeks; visible resilience builds over months.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — the formulations are minimal, low on added scent, and built around ingredients the skin recognises. Sensitive skin often responds well precisely because there are no actives competing for attention.
